Kabul: A French soldier was killed and four others injured during a military operation in Afghanistan province of Kapisa, news agencies reported on Friday.
According to details provided by the Elysee Palace, an armoured vehicle of French soldiers , in a convoy of four vehicles, was blown up by an improvised explosive device in the Tagab region,.
The injured soldiers were shifted to Kabul military hospital by helicopter.
France has some 4,000 troops in Afghanistan.
