Peshawar: Eight people of a family including two men, three women, two boys and a girl were killed over domestic dispute in Peshawar, Pakistan’s northern, province in the wee hour of Tuesday, local police said.
The incident took place in Khan Baba Garhi area of Peshawar within the limits of Khazana police station. The police said that accused Gaffar barged into the house of his in-laws with his friends and opened indiscriminate fire at the family members and fled from the crime scene.
As a result, eight members of a family died on the spot. But one girl who was stated to be the cause of the dispute also went missing from the scene.
The identities of the deceased were yet to be ascertained. But all of the victims were stated to be Afghan refugees.
Police have cordoned off the area and started investigation into the matter.
The accused Gaffar has to go abroad today evening so that security has been put on high alert at Peshawar and Islamabad airports.
