Islamabad: Prime Minister Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has condemned the murder of ex-PPP MNA in Karachi and expressed reservation over the deteriorating situation of the metropolis.
The PM ordered to probe the incident and sought report of the incident with immediate effect. He said killers would be brought before justice.
He further said that the country could not develop unless peace in Karachi.
Presiding over a Defence Committee meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, while talking the situation of Balochistan he said Baloch leaders would be brought into the circles of national politics.
He ordered to accelerate contacts with Baloch leaders. He said he was ready to talk with Baloch leaders, personally.
The PM said terrorism and criminal justice system issues severely affected masses in the country. We have to resolve the issues of terrorism and criminal justice system with immediate effect, he added.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar briefed the meeting about the country’s internal defence situation.
The meeting decided to introduce a special programme to prevent the nation from insurgency and militancy. It also decided that national crime database center would be formed in the country.
