The report said that there were 11,500 incidents of terrorism reported in 2010 in which a large number of people were killed.
The US State Department in its annual report said that suicide bombers were recruited for terror activities. The report also said that Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa province of Pakistan and FATA were the strongholds of insurgents.
The report alleged that Afghan, al Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba have strong influence in Pakistan. Pakistan faced external, internal and local threats due to terrorism.
It also mentioned that Pakistan faced worst terrorism in 2010 and most terrorism activities were occurred in tribal belts of the country. Floods 2010 also affected badly.
The reports said that several elements involved in terror activities were detained but out of them a few were charged.
Afghanistan also faced terror attack from Pakistan in 2010, the report stated.
Pakistan’s civil and military leaderships worked with the US in war against terror but their performance were not impressive.
