Karachi: The financial hub of the country, Karachi, continues to be bedeviled by the ongoing ethnic bloodbath, as 11 more people were killed on Sunday, pushing the death toll of the ongoing violence’s spate to 91.
As per details, unidentified motorcyclist opened fire on a man in Korangi No 5, due to which he died on the spot. The attacker managed to flee.
In Pak Colony, unidentified gunmen shot dead a rickshaw driver near Bismillah hotel. In Organi, unknown assailant shot dead a man near Qatar Hospital, Orangi.
In another incident, police recovered two dead bodies from Orangi Town on Sunday. The victims were identified as Faisal and Zeeshan, who were residents of Qasba Colony.
Another body was recovered from Pak Colony. The deceased was identified as Rizwan, resident of Garden. Police said that Rizwan was kidnapped from outside his residence on Saturday morning.
In another incident, two children were shot dead while a man was severely injured when unidentified assailants opened fire in Mehmoodabad on Saturday night. A young man also suffered fatal wounds and another was wounded when unidentified armed attackers opened fire near Safari park on University Road. Another dead body was found in a gunny bag from under the Teen Hatti Bridge.
Police recovered another body from Lyari Nullah in Machar colony.
