According to sources, a high level meeting of PPP high command and Sindh ministers held at Presidency in Islamabad with President Asif Ali Zardari in the chair on Saturday, gave final touch to the new power sharing accord with MQM.
MQM has parted way with the incumbent coalition government at least three times during last three years, apart from the threats to quit the government.
The Saturday high level meeting of PPP decided that MQM would be given the same portfolios it ministers were holding before quitting the coalition government.
The MQM had parted ways with the government over Azad Kashmir elections. However, later on the PPP withdraw its candidates in favour of MQM and consequently MQM candidates bagged the two Kashmiri refuges seats in Karachi.
And later the restoration of 2001 local government system, which was rolled back by Sindh government following MQM separation from government, addressed some of the reservations of MQM.
