Islamabad: Pakistani television viewers keenly watch the advertisements during the break of TV programs. A survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan revealed that 65% of TV viewers take interest in watching TV advertisements.
In a survey a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the country were asked the following question: “How much interest do you take in watching advertisements on Television?” The findings of the survey reveled that 23% respondents stated that they take high interest, while 42% said that they take moderate interest. 32% people said that they do not take any interest in watching advertisements on Television and 3% gave other responses.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2624 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during July 31 – Aug 1, 2011. Error margin is estimated to be approximately + 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
