Noshehra: At least 11 people were killed and over dozen of other injured on Thursday when powerful explosion ripped through Risalpur Chowk where unlucky people were busy in shopping for Islamic festival -Eid- in a busy market with in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa.
The injured were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Nowshehra District Hospital. Mardan District Hospital. Hospital sources said the condition of eight injured was critical.
District Police Officer, Noshehra, Mohammad Hussain said the blast also damaged two hotels and several shop. He said the blast occurred beside old custom house.
He said the bomb was planted in the bicycles of children.
“The blast occurred at a time when people were busy in shopping for Eid and many people were taking dinner in hotels,” Hussain said.
