According to the sources, in the one-hour long meeting the president took the governor into confidence over the steps being taken by the Sindh government in the city.
The president held that peace of the city of Quaid would be restored at all costs and indiscriminate action would be taken against the miscreants. The sources added that the president addressed the MQM’s reservations regarding misconception about its return as government allies.
The president hoped, said the sources, that MQM would soon become part of the government and play its role to strengthen democracy in the country.
