Lahore: Former Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Leader Lashkari Raisani along with 21 other members of national and provincial assembly announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) here in Raiwind on Tuesday.
A 22-memebr delegation including Lashkari Raisani, Humayun Kurd, Tahir Mehmood, Ismail Gujer and Chaudhry Rafat and others met with PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and announced to join the party.
Sources said that the Baloch leaders discussed the current political and deteriorating law and order situation with the PML-N leader.
Nawaz told the delegation that only Baloch leadership could resolve the problems of the province.
The former PPP leader resigned from the party in 2010 and Senate in 2012.
Media briefing following the meeting:
Nawaz said that the PPP was not given mandate for bloodshed but to protect the lives and the properties of the people.
“Innocent people are being killed from Khyber to Karachi and there was no one to stop the massacre.”
He said that unity and practical measures were needed to root out terrorism from the country.
