Rahimyar Khan: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) workers sacrificed their lives in the Karachi’s Abbas Town bombing.
Addressing a special luncheon at a residence of Punjab Governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood during his visit to Southern Punjab on Tuesday, the president said that the Takht-e-Lahore had not spent budget on the Southern Punjab.
“Takht-e-Lahore has always fought with us,” he said and claimed that his government has spent billions of rupees in the region.
Zardari said that he and his party were proud of the mission began by its founder Zufliqar Ali Bhutto, adding that Yousaf Raza Gilani has proved his loyalty with the PPP.
On the occasion, Mehmood announced joining of his group and family in the PPP and said that they would always be loyal to the party.
