Islamabad: Malik Riaz, the property tycoon and founder chairman of Bahria Town, has said that he is still waiting for the Punjab government reply over his offer of rebuilding the houses in Jospeh Town.
Raiz, the most influential but controversial figure in Pakistan politics, said on Sunday that he was ready to construct homes which were ransacked and burnt by an angry mob in the Joseph Colony area of Badami Bagh if the provincial government allowed.
An angry mob on Saturday ransacked and burnt the colony over alleged blasphemy.
On Monday, he said that he was ready bear all the expenses over the reconstruction all the affected house. He said that he was waiting for the Punjab government’s necessary approvals and permission to rebuild the homes.
