Washington: At least three crew members of the United States (US) Navy after a military aircraft from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island crashed in Washington state on Monday morning.
According to US media reports, Whidbey Island officials said that the E/A-6B Prowler was reported to have crashed at about 8:45 a.m. local time Monday.
According to Lincoln County Sheriff, Wade Magers, all three crew members were killed in the crash. However, the cause of the incident is still not known.
NAS Whidbey Island is home to the U.S. Navy’s tactical electronic warfare squadrons. Crews from the base, located on Puget Sound, regularly fly across Eastern Washington for training exercises.
The crash occurred in a rural area between the towns of Harrington and Odesa, west of Spokane, Washington.
