Islamabad: Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi along with some senior ministers and business leaders arrived here Monday on One-day visit to boost relationship with Pakistan.
Diplomats of Gulf and Arab countries and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed and other government officials received Morsi.
During his stay in Islamabad, Morsi will meet his counterpart Asif Ali Zardari at luncheon and hold delegation-level talks with the top officials.
According to a state television, Pakistan and Egypt would sign eight deals during Morsi’s short visit the South Asian country.
This is the first visit of any Egyptian president to Pakistan since 1960 when then president Jamal Abdul Nasir visited Islamabad.
Morsi would later fly to India on three-day visit focused trade.
