Man attacks Pervez Musharraf with shoe in Sindh High Court

KARACHI: An unknown man in Karachi on Friday hurled a shoe on former President Pervez Musharraf in the Sindh High Court (SHC).

A television report said that the man threw his shoe on Musharraf when he was leaving the court room after getting extension in his protective bail in judges’ case.

The former dictator also faced earlier a protest from the lawyers when he came to the court.

Later, the Rangers held a person named Tajamul Lodhi Advocate for throwing show on Musharraf and shifted him to undisclosed location.

Few eye witnesses told the television that the Rangers personnel also subjected Lodhi of torture.

Earlier, the SHC extended for 15 days the protective bail of former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in judges’ case.

During the hearing over the plea filed by the former dictator, Sindh government opposed in the SHC to extension in the protective bail, saying Pervez Musharraf was an absconder and he should not be granted bail.
