Karachi: New wave of violence has claimed lives of 12 persons, including political workers and three policemen were killed on Sunday during different firing incidents in Karachi, the metropolitan of Pakistan.
Three police officials were killed in motorcyclist miscreants’ attack carried out in Patel Para of Karachi, the area located at Business Recorder Road Karachi near Fatima Bai Hospital.
Police recovered dead body of woman from Korangi crossing area of Karachi while the rescue teams shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital for post mortem.
Six persons died including pedestrian and an innocent girl while 20 were injured in Gabol Park, Bihar Colony and Hangora Abad areas of Lyari during different incidents of grenade attacks, firing and violence.
Miscreants killed a person and injured three others by firing in Hussain Hazara Goth, located on University Road near Safari Park.
A person was killed by opened fire by unknown persons in Dhobi Ghat area of Karachi.
Moreover, unknown miscreants opened fired on state agency in Metroville area of Karachi, which injures three brothers and 4 pedestrian on the spot. The injured brothers were shifted to the nearby hospital while they were identified as Junaid, Zohaib, Ali and Khurram.
Jinnah hospital sources has expressed the fear of increase in deaths as several injured are still in critical condition.
It is pertinent to note, at least 263 persons had lost their lives during differing incidents of firing, blasts in Karachi in the month of May.
