LONDON: West Indies will face World Champions India on Tuesday in International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy to be played at The Oval.
Both teams have won their first matchs of ICC Champions Trophy but West Indies is dominating the points table with better run rate.
According to One Day Internationals (ODI) statistics, both team have played 106 matches head to head. West Indies is leading with 57 victories while World Champions managing 46 victories in their favor.
As far as the Champions trophy meeting is concerned West Indies is dominating with 2-1 lead over India.
The stats show us that, the record of West Indies at Oval is very good as they manage to grab victory in 9 out of 11 matches. On the other hand, India facing seven defeats out of 11 matches.
West Indies looks off color as far as batting is concerned in the last match. But overall the team looks in the great form. They have the fire power of Chris Gayle, Kiron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Marlon Samuels with bowlers like Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul, and Kimar Roach can restrict any team to low total.
On the other hand, India who have scored a humongous total against South Africa will be looking to repeat the same performance. The batting of Indians will be the key to win the match. If the batsmen manage to score a huge total again the n the chances of winning the match will increase for India. The bowling of India is little bit week as compare to West Indies.
India will be having the services of Shikhar Dhawn who scored a century in the last match while Virat Kohli, Surash Raina, and Denaish Karthik will play vital role in the middle order. Ravindra Jadeja and skipper will take the responsibility at the back end of the innings.
