LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has ordered his ministers on Monday to be in field to resolve public issues instead of sitting inside offices.
While travelling in a Metro bus with Punjab cabinet members on Monday, the CM issued the order and gave the ministers complete authorities to resolve maximum issues being faced by the people of the province.
The CM traveled through the bus with the ministers from his Model Town residence to the civil secretariat to chair the first meeting of the cabinet. He had chat with the passengers pertaining to the bus service during the journey.
Sharif said that different sectors criticized him for the minimum appointments of the ministers but now he wants serve the public by transferring authorities to his appointed officials.
CM clarified that ministers should not do recommendation for promotions and transfers of Patwari, Tehsildar and Police officials.
Moreover, Sharif said that performance of each minister will be reviewed on weekly basis while monthly performance report will also be compiled as well as government will adopt austerity in each work.
