PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s third largest mandate holder and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial leading party, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has decided to empower the ‘KPK grass-root level’, also named as ‘Local Government’ through Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
PTI has selected righteous political party of KPK, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in order to initiate a powerful municipal setup in the province and recently awarded them ‘extra-ordinary important’ Ministry of Local Government.
Handing over an important task to JI to build an ‘strong’ local government in KPK as Imran Khan insisted in his previous electoral campaigns’ addresses, he vowed to bring a powerful local governmental setup in his tenure and also termed it as ‘grass root level governance’.
It is pertinent to be notified, JI is holding a ‘bright’ history for running local governmental setups in Karachi and the righteous party’s mayors i.e. Abdul Sattar Afghani and Naimatullah Khan, who had got ‘International Fame’ for his qualitative progress as mayor.
According to sources, KPK government has initiated the making of sketches for local government election (or municipal election) and trying to release the election schedule within 90 days.
Moreover, Imran Khan has also directed his party leaders to commence ‘qualitative’ work on emergency basis for the improvement of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The sources revealed the election’s genre that the event will be held on party basis and PTI will increase political pressure on Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) to uphold the municipal election in Punjab province as well.
