ISLAMABAD: As per provision of new finance bill, Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) will have direct access to accounts details of account holders of banks.
FBR has been granted to access central database system of all the banks of the country, official sources said.
The FBR was authorized to access the account data after the budget speech of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar last evening. The move is aimed at giving details of people who could pay tax to the government but refraining to get into tax net.
The access will reveal all transaction details to the regulatory authority.
