London: Australia on Monday won the toss and elected to field first against Sri Lanka in do-or-die situation for both teams in International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy played at the Oval.
Australia haven’t succeeded to register a single victory except a drawn match against New Zealand due to rain. On the other hand Sri Lanka who lost their first match against New Zealand defending low total of 139 runs managed to chase down a massive total of 293 against the home side England.
Now both teams facing the knockout situation playing the last group stage match. Australia needs to beat Sri Lanka with a big margin to book the sport in semi-final. On the other hand Sri Lanka have to defeat the Aussies to join England, South Africa and India in the semi-final. In case of draw, New Zealand will go through to semi-final because of better run rate in ICC Champions trophy.
