Strategy is being evolved to purchase new engines with steps are being taken to make economic condition of Pakistan Railways better, he said while talking with media men.
During the current fiscal year, Railways get an amount of Rs. 34 billion, about Rs 15 billion less than the demanded amount from the ministry to make the Railways a self sufficient organization.
“All efforts will be made to make Pakistan Railways self-sufficient economically and render it into a profit-able organization,” the minister further said.
Earlier, Khawaja Saad said that he felt embarrassment for asking funds from prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
