“The IMF delegation expresses satisfaction with the budgetary measures in Pakistan,” officials said as the first round of talks ended between Pakistan officials and IMF delegation in capital city of Islamabad.
From Pakistan side, the finance minister Ishaq Dar presented the national opinion while Jeffery Frank led the IMF delegation.
IMF delegation was of the view that short term loans to finance strive country would be finalized after reviewing economic condition. They also said that inclusion of provinces in policy level talks was necessary.
At the end of the first round, IMF team said that Pakistan could apply for the loan within next three to four days.
