QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and its nationalists allies in the restive province of Balochistan have presented their first budget for fiscal year 2013-14 with a total outlay of Rs. 198 billion.
Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch himself presented the budget saying ‘every possible step has been taken to provide relief to the people.’
A brief glance over the budget is as follow:

Fifteen percent increase in the salaries of government employees and in pensions of retired employees

Over 43 billion rupees have been allocated for development sector

A sum of 34 billion rupees has been earmarked for education sector

Over 16 billion rupees have been allocated for maintenance of law and order in the province

Over 11 billion rupees will be spent on health sector

Over 5 billion rupees have been allocated for agriculture projects.

For capital expenditures 37 billion and 470 million rupees have been set aside

For revenue expenditures, over 117 billion rupees have been earmarked

A sum of over 8 billion rupees has been earmarked for new communication schemes

Over 1.08 billion rupees have been allocated for development program of irrigation sector

About 2.6 billion rupees have been allocated for live stock sector

A sum of 1.5 billion rupees have been earmarked for fisheries sector

About 4.5 billion rupees have been allocated for public health services sector

About 4.5 billion rupees have been set-aside for investment in mineral sector

About 2.5 billion rupees will be spent for investment in power sectors
