LONDON: London Metropolitan Police has made a significant move against the murderers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Imran Farooq by arresting a Pakistani origin person on Monday, whose name reportedly started with ‘B’.
London Police have initially avoided publicising the detainment details of the suspect through media but finally confirmed that suspect has been arrestment on allegation to be involved in Imran Farooq’s murder.
Scotland Yard has termed the act as significant progress in Dr. Imran Farooq case while they refused to unveil the personal details of the detained person but passed a hint regarding the person’s name which starts with ‘B’
According to police, the department have kept several evidences against the person which confirmed his involvement in the murder and the suspect ‘B’ was constantly being monitored by the authorities.
The sources added that more people will be arrested after the recent move as London Police are monitoring 8 to 10 suspected personalities involved in the MQM’s leader murder case.
Moreover, the police sources refused to accept the murder as a street crime incident and termed it as planned murder.
Earlier, Scotland Yard conducted long-hour raids in London in order to track the prominent leader’s murderers.
London Police has expressed doubts regarding the incident that same persons were involved in Farooq’s murder who wants to stop him to form a new political party.
It is pertinent to note, the inactive MQM leader was continuously trying to organise his own political party.
The MQM prominent leader’s body was found with multiple stab wounds and head injuries on September 16, 2010, outside his home at Green Lane, Edgware, North London.
