“The government will facilitate companies which transfer technology in alternative energy sector in Pakistan,” he responded to a briefing on Solar Energy resources in the country and investment opportunities.
The briefing was held by a consortium of local and foreign investment companies interested to spend money in the field.
“Pakistan’s huge alternative energy potential holds the key to overcome the acute energy crisis facing the country.”
The south Asian country has been facing an unprecedented power outages, up to 15 hours allover the country.
“Pakistan possesses huge potential of solar and wind energy and reservoir of coal and other fossil fuels to produce electricity and if utilized optimally it would help to improve people’s standards of living,” PM, who claimed to provide masses after coming into power during election campaign, said.
