LAHORE: Suspending decision of Islamabad High Court on Amnesty scheme of smuggled vehicles, Lahore High Court has sought details from the government within a week.
Hearing a petition of a citizen who prayed that government authorities have been harassing the citizens over their purchased vehicles after the IHC decision.
“Whatever government did, had nothing to do with us. We have purchased it fairly. But now we are facing harassement,” the petitioner further prayed.
After hearing the initial argument, the Lahore High Court suspending decision of Islamabad High Court has sought details from the relevant authorities within a week.
The scheme has been launched to provide amnesty vehicles smuggled from abroad to bring revenue to national exchequer.
Islamabad High Court has declared the FBR smuggled vehicles amnesty scheme as illegal.
