ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has reserved its verdict on various petitions pertaining high treason charges against former president and dictator Pervez Musharraf under Article 6.
After hearing the petitions on the case, the court said that the verdict will be declared on an appropriate time.
New appointed Attorney General Munir A. Malik informs the apex court that an inquiry team to be set up shortly to look into the emergency imposed by former dictator on November 3, 2007.
A three- member bench of the court has been hearing the petition seeking high tresason case against Musharraf.
“ Prime Minister has issued necessary directives to the Interior Secretary to constitute an investigation team,” Malik further said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered his team to try former dictator Musharraf under Article 6 on violation of the constitution.
