Washington: American giant Apple and software giant Microsoft plan to go head to head with each other by introducing their new devices such as Apple’s iPad Mini 2 and Microsoft’s Surface Pro 2 this year.
As in past these two rivals have given each other tough time in the market and now they are again in competition with each other with similar type of devices.
Both companies haven’t introduced any of its devices yet.
Here are some features and specifications of their upcoming devices.
Processor:
Processor is the key factor of the device. It should be fast and have the ability to run any application that user demand. As we know that the iPad mini is working on the A5 chip but upcoming iPad mini 2 will be having dual-core A6 chip which will be lot smother then its previous version while Microsoft is working on future models of Surface tablet beyond Core i5. As the latest rumors say that the new model of Surface is called Surface Plus.
Screen:
Screen of iPad Mini 2 might be coming with 7.9 inch but upgraded to Retina display, resolution of 2048 X 1536 so user can enjoy clear image quality. On the other hand Microsoft next batch tablet will include a 7 inch edition which will go up against the Google Nexus 7 and iPad Mini 2.
Storage:
The storage capacity of upcoming iPad mini 2 expected to be 16/32/64 and 128 GB while Surface Pro 2 will be available with the same storage capacity as iPad mini 2. The introduction of 128 GB storage capacity in small size it will be very effective to grab the tablet market and user attention.
Operating System:
As Apple upgrading towards iOS 7 new iPad mini 2 will likely to come with the upgraded operating system. On the other hand Surface Pro 2 will have an upgrade Window 8.1.
Camera:
iPad mini 2 will be coming with 8 megapixel back and 2 mega pixel rare facing camera while Surface Pro 2 expected to have 8 megapixel camera.
