ISLAMABAD: Central Executive Committee for of Pakistan Tehrik-e- Insaf (PTI) has taken back the party post responsibilities of leaders elected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government.
PTI formed Chief Election Commissioner of the Hamid Khan-led special committee for finalising the decision while the members include Firdous Naqvi, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi and Dr. Abul Hasan.
The committee declared in a press conference that PTI leaders are not eligible to hold party positions as they are now performing duties in KPK government.
According to the declaration, Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak, who was keeping the central secretary general of PTI, has lost his position.
Earlier, Pervez Khattak avoided Imran Khan’s instructions to leave his party post as he is serving as government post of chief minister in KPK, however, Khattak refused to leave PTI post.
PTI Central Media Cell has released statement on behalf of Imran Khan that that Chief Election Commissioner’s recommendations are considered as suggestions to Central Executive Committee.
According to PTI media release, recommendations will not be effective till final approval of central executive committee’s meeting.
It is pertinent to note, PTI belonged Pervez Khattak faced rage of Imran Khan on some misconduct in past as it consume governmental assets for reaching a valima ceremony which finally resulted as restriction of helicopter usage completely.
