The first of its kind project in the province will have a capacity of refining 40,000 barrels of oil per day. The estimated completion of the refinery is mid of 2016 with the cost is about 640 million dollars.
Reviewing the project this morning, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak asks the relevant authorities to speed up the work on setting up the refinery.
“Government will use natural resources for development of province and prosperity of its people,” he further said during a briefing in the capital city of Peshawar on the project.
The project will be completed jointly by the provincial government and Pakistan State Oils.
