KARACHI: Higher authorities have decided extending the measures of ongoing targeted operation in Karachi, the metropolitan city of Pakistan.
A high-level meeting of operation committee had been arranged in the metropolis yesterday under chair of the Director General (DG) Rangers Major General Rizwan Akhtar while other security officials including Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Shahid Nadeem and all Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) were also present.
DG Ranger Rizwan Akhtar decided significant extension in measures of the targeted actions while the operations would be kept secret.
Reports were also reviewed in the meeting regarding the ongoing operation against criminals and banned organisations in the coastal city.
The officials, in light of the presented reports, expressed suspicions over involvement of one group in the targeted attacks on the Karachiattes.
Keeping eyes on the recent target killing incidents, specific areas have been spotted for next targeted and strict actions by the law enforcements agencies.
It should be mentioned that the Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar had detailed the Karachi operation comprising of three level and claimed that second level of the action against criminals is going on successfully but the third level would be the strictest in its genre.
