Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday ordered defense secretary to produce all the remaining missing persons in one hour.
The three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S.Khawaja and Justice Amir Hani Muslim are hearing the missing persons case.
The defence ministry’s additional secretary informed the court about the whereabouts of three more missing persons and requested the bench to keep the identity of two persons a complete secret as their lives might be under a threat. The secretary added that the government is working hard to trace all the missing persons.
Justice Chaudhry issued verbal orders to the defence secretary to produce before the court all missing persons as the deadline given by the court in this regard has expired. He said that if the ministry wants written order then it can be issued forthwith.
