RIYADH: The International Energy Forum (IEF) on Wednesday has threatened the Pakistani government for its membership suspension over non-payment of fees since last two years.
International Energy Forum (IEF) has officially warned the removal of Pakistani membership due to non-clearance of its dues of two years, governmental sources said.
According to sources, Pakistan is defaulter of 61,000 US dollars of the energy forum, however, the IEF demanded immediate clearance of the dues.
The energy forum authorities have informed the Pakistan’s Finance Minister from the situation, meanwhile, the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources has also contacted the finance department for the continuation of membership via payment on time.
The International Energy Forum (IEF) is the world’s largest recurring gathering of energy ministers comprising of 89 countries across 6 continents covering aroung 90% of the World’s oil and gas supply and demand.
