KARACHI: Commander of a banned outfit, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has been reportedly killed in a police fight during a raid in Mawach Goth area of Karachi, the metropolis of Pakistan.
TTP’s commander Fazlur Rehman has reportedly been encountered in a police raid conducted in the densely populated area of the city on Wednesday (today), police sources said.
Sources claimed that the militants’ commander allegedly opened fire on the officials, however, the dead body of the deceased militant have taken into custody by the police.
According to reports, police have recovered grenades and different genre of weapons from the possession of the militant.
Earlier on December 3, law enforcement agencies had indicated for a large scale targeted and secret operations in specific areas of the metropolis and expressed their suspicions over involvement of only one group in spreading the violence in Karachi.
It should be mentioned that at least 12 persons were killed across the Karachi on yesterday in the violent attacks by unidentified criminals, according to unofficial statistics.
