KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies have sought legal permission from the Pakistan’s federal government for high-level arrestments of political personalities over supporting criminal elements in the metropolis.
Significant developments are being seen in the ongoing targeted ‘Karachi Operation’ in the metropolis, the federal government decided for initiating its final and decisive level to establish peace and to eliminate terrorism on permanent basis.
Security agencies have applied via the provincial government of Sindh for getting legal approval from the federal authorities to arrest prominent political personalities heading or linking with criminal factors in Karachi, local newspaper reported.
Sources revealed that the Sindh police have provided details to the federal government of 450 most wanted target killers including several criminal suspects having affiliations and links with political powers.
Operational planning of the final phase is underway in light of bedazing revelations pertaining the criminals’ heads and supporters in the Karachi.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar will pay visit to the metropolitan city in next few days for approving the final and third level after holding high-level meetings with Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh and officers of law enforcement agencies.
However, the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will give the final approval regarding the series of large-scale and high-level targeted operation in the city.
Political stakeholders of the metropolis would be taken into confidence before initiation and completion of the final layer of the operations.
It should be mentioned here that law enforcement agencies including Rangers and Police had announced extending the measures of ongoing targeted operation via secret actions against the criminals in the metropolitan city on December 3.
