KARACHI: The largest mandate holding political party in the metropolis, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), on Sunday has once again demanded imposition of ban over the politico-religious party, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
MQM leadership has placed the demand after an emergency combined session comprising of Rabita Committee members from London and Pakistan.
While addressing to the session, Rabita Committee alleged that JI is continuously busy in terrorism moves internationally including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Lebanon and various other foreign countries.
The committee also blamed the religious party for having closer links with militants’ organisation including Taliban, Al-Qaeda and other terrorists’ outfits.
The MQM leadership claimed that prominent JI leaders also found involved in aggression against the Pakistan’s armed forces with assistance of foreign terrorists.
The committee demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar for ordering an immediate shutdown of all activities of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in order to make Pakistan a terrorism-free and secure country.
