Dense fog has been reported from all major cities including Lahore,
Okara, Dipalpur, Mananwala, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad and twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
At least five people including two women became victim of blanket fog related incidents in Lahore. Other three died while dozens got injured in other cities of the province.
Earlier, authorities have to close down Allam Iqbal International Airport or Lahore Airport and motorway delaying dozens of flights and transportation between Lahore and Rawalpindi, the garrison city of the province.
The electricity city has also been affected by the sprawling cold smoke, seems to covering every part of the province.
Flights across the province including Bahawalpur, Multan and other destination have been cancelled due to fog.
Hundreds of passengers could be seen at railway stations across Punjab, the most populous province of Pakistan, as trains operation has been halted after fog spreads.
The authorities have advised commuters to adopt all possible measures on motorway and other highways in evening and night besides using fog light.
