LARKANA: Former President of Pakistan and Co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Asif Ali Zardari, has sent new direction to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Qaim Ali Shah, regarding new policy after SHC’s annulled local bodies’ act on Monday.
Asif Ali Zardari has directed the Qaim Ali Shah to step forward for removing the differences with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) after the recent Sindh High Court (SHC)’s banishment on local bodies’ act announced by the Sindh government.
It should be mentioned that the Sindh High Court (SHC) had declared Sindh Local Government Act 2013 null and void today, while all opposition parties termed the bill illegal in view of that it contradicts Article 104-A of the Constitution.
Zardari took the decision after holding a high-level meeting with the party affiliated CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah at Naudero House for discussing the matter of the SHC’s order and amendment in the local government act.
Qaim Ali Shah has been advised to invite MQM on the table for commencing negotiations as well as directed to form special committee under his supervision comprising of member Agha Siraj Durrani, Nisar Khoro, Manzoor Wasan and other senior leaders.
The CM Sindh is likely to challenge the Sindh High Court’s (SHC) decision in the Supreme Court of Pakistan following the direction of PPP’s co-chairman while another important decision was taken seeking complete administrative control of provincial electricity departments from the federal government.
