MIRANSHAH: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said that his organisation is ‘sincere’ and ‘serious’ in peace talks with the government and expressed hope that the process will yield better result.
Talking about ceasefire announcement, He informed media that TTP has contacted all circles of Taliban and there would be no problem in the implementation of any decision including ceasefire.
The TTP spokesperson that the Mohmand Agency incident was a reaction to the deaths of Taliban fighters and the ‘Mohmand Agency Taliban’ group has given explanation to the central TTP council and the council will review this explanation.
He said that the Taliban follow Shariah and in Shariah all are bound to obey the orders of the Amir while adding that people who love with Islam should play their due role for the success of the dialogue process.
The statement comes two days after a militant outfit identifying itself as Mohmand Agency Taliban claimed to have killed 23 FC soldiers they had kidnapped from a checkpost in the tribal region in 2010.
