KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) staged a rally in support of Pakistan’s armed forces on Sunday and paid tribute to the martyrs of war on terror.
MQM supporters, workers of Shia religious party Majlis-i-Wahdat-ul Muslimeen(MWM) and former army chief Pervez Musharraf led All Pakistan Muslim league (APML) also participated in the rally.
MQM MNA Faisal Sabzwari said that none speaks against extremism and supports army unconditionally but MQM leader Altaf Hussain and always arrange rallies in support of security agencies.
MQM Co-ordination committee convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that MQM salutes Pakistan Army and time has come for a final decision on curbing terrorism while claiming that Altaf Hussain told in advance about the futility of peace talks with Taliban.

Resolutions included boycott of all Taliban apologist parties and that terror attacks are un-islamic.
MQM founder and leader Altaf Hussain’s telephonic address was scheduled to be the last in the row and he reminded the press and populace that he pointed about Talibanisation in Karachi in 2004 but his claims were considered to be Anti-Pathan and Anti-Federation.
The exiled leader lashed out at Taliban and said that they did not make us muslims while claiming that they were born due to our wrong policies.
He said that those supporting Taliban are “hypocrites”and stressed upon the need of boycotting them while appealing people to make a new slogan of ” Jo Taliban ka yaar hai wo Pakistan ka ghaddar hai” (Whoever supports Taliban is a traitor of Pakistan).
He called for all Pakistan, especially people of Punjab to come out against the Taliban.
The MQM founder called for unity against the Taliban while asking media groups to inform him and his party about threats from Taliban groups and promised that MQM workers will guard them day in and day out.
It is worthy to note that MQM and its top leadership has been always vocal against Pakistan’s Taliban rebels.
