ISLAMABAD: Federal Cabinet on Tuesday has stressed Taliabn to announce unconditional ceasefire as it approved National Security Policy.
Meeting of Federal Cabinet held in chair of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif which considered matter pertaining to talks with Taliban or operation against them and national security policy.
Federal Minister Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali khan have given detailed briefing on overall peace and security situation in the country.
In the meeting, draft of National Security Policy has been presented for approval which was approved after thorough discussion in the cabinet.
Formation of Anti Terrorism Authority has also been came under consideration in the meeting.
Cabinet decided in principal that the Taliban must announced ceasefire unconditionally otherwise security forces would retaliate forcefully and they were also take stern actions if found evidence related to plans of terrorism in any area.
Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will present approved National Security Policy points in the parliament’s lower house National Assembly tomorrow in the presence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif .
On the other side the ministers belonging to Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazal (JUI-F) Akram Durrani and Molana Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi didn’t participate in the meeting due to reservation on operation in North Waziristan.
