ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Baitul Maal has launched a country-wide Economic Revival Programme aimed at rehabilitation of poor citizens of the country.
Its salient features were announced by Managing Director of Pakistan Baitul Maal Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh at a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Initially, ten million rupees have been earmarked for the programme for grant of Qarz-e-Hasna ranging from ten thousand to fifty thousand rupees for establishment of identified businesses.
Forms for the programme can be obtained from offices of Baitul Maal and cab be submitted along with an affidavit.
The Managing Director Baitul Maal said Qarz-e-Hasna would be granted in a transparent manner without any discrimination.
He said the programme would help poor families stand on their own feet.
