LAHORE: Pakistani cricketer cum wicket keeper, Kamran Akmal, was gripped over violation of traffic laws in Lahore on Thursday (today), however, he didn’t repeat the mistake of creating complications like his sibling Umar Akmal.
The Lahore’s traffic police officials have charged Kamran Akmal on violation of traffic laws as he was using mobile phone while driving his car.
Kamran Akmal faced a challan over the illegal act and openly accepted his mistake while talking to media.
Akmal said, ‘It is my first-ever traffic challan and I was wrong.’
Earlier, Umar Akmal, whose arrest warrant has been issued today by local sessions’ court in Lahore, was captured over violation of traffic laws but his case got complicated when traffic official alleged to face misconduct behaviour from Umar Akmal.
Umar Akmal was arrested on on February 1 as he did not stop at a traffic signal in Lahore’s Firdous market area and later brawled with a traffic warden.
He was detained the same day and released a day later on a bail order issued by a local court against a surety bond of Rs100,000.
Afterwards, Umar denied the charges, claiming he had been assaulted by the traffic warden first.
