RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique, on Tuesday has announced the induction of 30 more locomotives for freight trains by the end of the current financial year.
Addressing a reception hosted by Railways Labour Union outside Rawalpindi Railway Station Tuesday, he said we will be bring hundred more engines on trace during next financial year which would help increase the frequency of rail traffic.
The Minister said railway track from Peshawar to Karachi will be upgraded with the four billion dollars investment by China. After upgradation, Pakistan railways will have the capacity to run a train every ten minutes.
He urged the workers to work honestly to improvement performance of Railways.
He said time has come for accountability of the corrupt officers. He said looted money will be recovered by referring their cases to NAB.
