ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday ordered the federal government to install CCTV cameras in courts across Pakistan within 48 hours and submit a report on Monday.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani was hearing the suo moto action case related to the terror attack at a court in Islamabad also known as the F-8 district court.
At least 11 people, including a senior judge and three lawyers, were killed in a gun and bomb attack in district court on Monday.
The apex court asked the government to announce compensation and install cameras in court within 48 hours.
