ISLAMABAD: Government of Pakistan has decided to talks with banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) directly and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar will be nominated as a focal person for the purpose.
According to reports, the government committee member major (retd) Amir has said to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday during a meeting that the committee work has done its work as the TTP announced ceasefire.
Now the government has to initiate talks with the TTP directly, major (r) Amir added.
The PM approved major (retd) Amir suggestion and nominated Chaudhry Nisar as focal person to take initiative for a successful dialogue process.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) or Governor KPK or any other representative will be included in the direct talks on the other hand Army will also be representation to Inter Service Intelligence (ISI).
The government committee is currently in Akora Khattak to discuss the suggestion with the Taliban nominated committee .
