ISLAMABAD: Human Rights Organization, Amnestry International has said due to death penalties around the world has increased death rates upto 15%.
In its latest report, Amnesty International said that no death occurred in Pakistan because of death sentence.
The report stated that almost 778 persons have been died due to death penalties in 22 countries of the world during 2013.
The reason behind increased death penalties in the world was Iran and Iraq who got the top two positions, respectively regarding to implement death sentences.
538 of 778 have been died on in Iran and Iraq due to death sentence.
Saudi Arabia stands on third position in the list where 79 people hanged during previous year.
The report further said that around 23 thousand people were in queue for the implementation on death punishment.
China, Pakistan and Bangladesh listed as top three countries where the courts announced most death sentences but not implemented yet, the report added.
In last year, Indonesia, Kuwait, Vietnam and Nigeria started implementation on death sentences.
Almost 682 people were sentenced to death in the year 2012.
