ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s federal government rejected former military dictator General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s application seeking removal of his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The former military ruler had filed the application with the interior ministry after the Special Court said the government had the authority to allow him to travel abroad.
Earlier it was reported that interior ministry has written a letter while the ministry sources and Musharraf’s spokesperson denied the information.
The letter is written from the office of Prime Minister Pakistan.
Musharraf who is facing a treason case against him had filed petitions appealing the court to allow him to travel abroad for medical treatment and to visit his ailing mother.
