ISLAMABAD: A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on Thursday to remove Pervez Musharraf, the former president, name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
Shah Jahan Advocate, the petitioner, has made the federation and the interior ministry as parties in the petition.
The petition viewed that nobody can be deprived of their fundamental rights of moving anywhere according to the country’s Constitution.
He said that Pervez Musharraf wanted to go to Dubai to meet his ailing mother but the interior ministry had barred him to move abroad as per the court’s verdict. He demanded the court to remove Musharraf’s name from the ECL.
